Initiative scandalous for the schools of Pisa - April 27 publish below a letter written at the initiative of some members of associations

For this reason we are absolutely opposed to that City and Province
enable and encourage participation in this initiative
by schools.
First of all, the positive assessment of whether or not the
military instrument as a means to address and resolve conflicts
is a sensitive issue for the education of children and young people.
remember that as long as the law stipulated the compulsory military service

Every Italian citizen should feel entirely responsible for
the Italian participation in missions like those in Iraq or Afghanistan
. In these missions, the Italian armed forces are or have
been part of military alliances that have taken steps
with dire consequences, such as the attacks on Fallujah
or the bombing of fleeing civilians in Afghanistan. Someone (not us) can be assumed that such events are
errors in a process that leads to a greater good.
However, all agree that the military option in
international crisis is a choice that should be weighted heavily and
can never be a happy choice, light or joyful. For this reason we believe that
introduce children in a military training environment
in a festive atmosphere is a serious mistake education.
We find particularly embarrassing in this context,
that among the activities planned during the day there is a workshop organized by the Province of Pisa
on "Solidarity and Rights of the Child." The

4) education programs by the Fire Brigade;
5) Balloon Flights anchored by the Capannori;
6) Laboratory of kites by the National Sports Centre Education;
7) Materials and techniques for launch by the Training Center of
parachuting;
8) circuits with Track car, rock wall and simulated performance of
Trial Bike with a chance to try bike paths, by
Folgore Bike Amateur Sports Association;
9) Practice shooting by TSN of Pisa;
10) Guided tours of the Museum of Italian parachutists;
11) Entertainment, games, workshops and sports activities organized by the National Educational
Sports Center, the Association "Alipes", the toy library
"Leopolda Junior" and the Game Room "Beach free;
12) Inflatable games for children in care of "Cloud stands."
From 16:30 to 18:00 are also provided for sports performances:
1) Students of the Fencing Club of Ciolo Antonio;
