is in the works for several months Avola December 2, 1968, a documentary film on the "facts of Avola".
The film wants to remember a page of history had significant reverberations on the '68 Italian,
including helping to accelerate the processes that led, in 1970, the promulgation of the Statute of Workers.
The documentary, as well as pay homage to the protagonists of the struggles of laborers Avola, wants to remind the social and political climate in which local struggles and develop that highlight the transformations that occurred subsequently in the world laborers of Avola, in society and in local politics.

One notable stimulus to embark on the documentary, was given to Joachim Tiralongo, the vision of some unreleased films in 8 mm, a cineamatore avolese, had made the day after the massacre.

The making of the film, whose release is scheduled for next fall, owes much to the testimonies of some workers, the protagonists of the struggles of laborers in the south eastern Sicily, involved in the events of December 2, 1968. Have proved valuable in particular the testimony of the Cape League of laborers Paolo Di Mauro, those of Louis Caldwell, Salvatore Candido, Paul Caldwell, Nino Catinello. Relevant

were also memories of prof. Inturri and Mr. Salvatore. Franco Monello, politically engaged students at the time of the "facts."
Professor. Burgaretta Sebastian, writer and scholar of Avola, and Prof. Saro Mangiameli, historian at the University of Catania, were and continue to be an excellent reference for reconstructing the political climate, economic and social context in which ripened into events in the film. No less interesting are the contributions made by Toto Roccuzzo, writer and essayist.

Aid is true also, giving the secretary general of the CGIL FLAI Alfò Savior of Syracuse. Other
friendly contributions have been offered so far by Sergio Zavoli and Fabrizio Gatti, Espresso journalist who has focused for years of the current condition of laborers, with particular reference to immigrant labor.

They're also involved in the making of the film's Offlagadiscopax winners of the MEI (Italian festival of independent labels) have provided a number of pieces for the soundtrack and many other collaborators, generous and friendly. Special thanks in this regard goes to Ciccio Di Martino.
